Chemistry tuition
Chemistry is a natural science concerned with the substances of which matter is composed, the investigation of their properties and reactions, and the use of such reactions to form new substances.
GCSE Chemistry
At MG Tuition Services, we help secondary school students understand the periodic table, how different atoms can bond and how reactions can be exothermic or endothermic. Topics we can teach include atomic structure, bonding, quantitative chemistry, chemical and energy changes, rates of change and organic chemistry, as well as chemical analysis and the chemistry of the atmosphere.
We also adapt our teaching depending on whether students are working towards a single GCSE a double science award, or at foundation or higher tier. We can stretch and challenge those with enquiring minds to develop a deeper understanding of the challenges modern scientists face, and which are increasingly important topics in the context of air pollution, renewable resources, greenhouse gases and climate change.
A Level Chemistry
We support students to develop important skills at A Level, including how to chemically analysis substances, to understand the bonding of carbonic and non-carbonic chemistry and to interpret and communicate in standard scientific ways. Most of our students have studied the OCR Chemistry A Level syllabus, although we can adapt to the requirements of AQA, Edexcel and WJEC and we can help develop the skills required to achieve the practical endorsement. Topics we can cover include foundations in chemistry, the periodic table and energy, core organic chemistry, physical chemistry and transition elements, as well as organic chemistry and analysis. Therefore, why not allow MG Tuition Services to use some excellent resources and a wealth of experience in answering exam style questions to help make more sense of the world around us.
A Level Chemistry has always been a popular subject with MG Tuition Services students and many have progressed to study medicine, science, engineering and environmental science at university, as well as move into veterinary occupations.
